A defibrillator can be an invaluable piece of equipment when trying to resuscitate someone. More and more places are installing them. However, only 1 in 20 people know how to use them, according to research by the British Heart Foundation.
In the UK one person dies every six minutes from a heart attack and one in three will die before they reach hospital.
For each minute that passes without defibrillation, the chances of survival fall by up to 10 percent*.
Latest European Resuscitation Council (ERC) basic life support guidelines recommends all workplace employees are trained in the use of an AED.
This course is highly recommended for anyone with access to an AED. No previous first aid training is required.

Excellent standard of training, excellent instructor and excellent course content. It was good to get 'hands on' with the equipment to get familiar with it.
