Travel vaccinations

You don’t always need vaccinations and anti malaria preventative treatments when travelling abroad, it all depends on where you go.

But if you do need them, having the right protection for your journey is very important.

The preventative measures you will need will depend on the areas visited and the length of time that you stay.

Some vaccinations need to be started as early as 12 weeks before departure so plan well in advance of your departure date.

Travellers with complicated itineraries may also require the prescription, provision and administration of more ‘unusual’ travel vaccines.

MOHS Travel Health and Vaccination Centre* offers a full range of vaccines including:

  • anti malarial tablets
  • hepatitis A
  • hepatitis B
  • hepatitis A & B combined
  • typhoid
  • influenza
  • Japanese encephalitis
  • pneumonia PPV23
  • rabies
  • typhoid
  • yellow fever*

Vaccination costs

A charge is made for each vaccine.  Costs vary, depending on the type of vaccine given. (Prices are available on request).

The cost of administering a vaccine is included in the price of the vaccine.  Also, the consultation fee will be waived if any vaccines are purchased.

* The MOHS travel and vaccination centre is a designated yellow fever vaccination centre
